Be aware of vape strength

Vapes have different strengths 

Many vapes don’t clearly show what strength of nicotine they contain. If you don’t know the strength of nicotine in a vape, you can’t control your intake. 

Nicotine is measured in milligrams. 

Look for “mg” (milligrams) or % on the label, and you’ll see that some vapes are much stronger than others. Some contain as much nicotine as an entire package of cigarettes - and sometimes even more.

People trying to stop vaping often start by switching to a vape with a lower nicotine level.

How to check nicotine strength

Here are some common levels of nicotine:

• 20mg = high
• 10mg = medium
• 5mg = low
